Transport

 The aims of the Transport Plan are to ensure that road users and pedestrians in Keyworth are safe and considerate to the needs of each other and to develop appropriate methods of public transport within and around Keyworth.

  The Transport Plan aims to achieve this by;-

·         Providing realistic, sustainable plans for both pedestrians and vehicle users with regard to safe, considerate parking and vehicle use within the village.

·         Providing recommendations with regard to accident prevention.

·         Investigating the need for intra village transport provision and if necessary suggesting sustainable solutions/alternatives.

·         Investigating safe methods of transporting local schoolchildren to and from school, and making appropriate recommendations.    

·         Investigating the adequacy of public transport to local villages, towns and cities and if necessary making recommendations for consideration by public transport companies.

·         Investigating the adequacy of pathways for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists both within the village of Keyworth and to nearby villages such as Plumtree, Wysall, Tollerton, Widmerpool, Bradmore etc and if necessary making recommendations for their provision.

·         Investigating the impact on Keyworth of large delivery vehicles and if necessary make recommendations to limit adverse impact.

 

The Transport Plan will be developed in consultation with all stakeholders. Including but not exclusively;-

  • Residents
  • Business and Commerce
  • Schools
  • Police
  • Footpath Association
  • Transport companies
  • Rushcliffe Borough Council
