Business and Commerce aims and objectives

The aims and objectives of the plan are to help ensure that Keyworth has a thriving Business and Commercial sector that meets the needs of the community

The Business and Commercial Plan aims to achieve this by helping to:-

•  maintain local and national businesses prescence in our community
•  encourage new local and national businesses to locate in the village
•  encourage a wide diversity of local shops of all types to improve the ' shopping experience'
•  encourage a wide diversity of self-employment locally
•  support local businesses and in turn seek their support for the village
•  support local employment
•  develop links to local schools and provide work experience locally
•  encourage use of local tradespeople
•  explore the development of a local Farmers Market

The Business and Commercial Plan will be developed by contacting:-

• all local businesses
• Careers offices
• Rotary
• Chambers of Commerce
• PROBUS
• Local Authorities
• relevant Government and EC for grants etc.
• National Lottery
• enlisting aid of local politicians,MP,MEP etc. to place Keyworth on the political radar
