ARMED ROBBERS MAKE OFF WITH CASH

A substantial amount of money has been stolen from outside a supermarket in Gamston.
Masked armed robbers threatened security staff, who were loading cash machines outside the Morrisons store in the Gamston District Centre, at about 7.25am today (Wednesday 28 December 2011).
No one was injured in the robbery and the three men are believed to have fled the scene in a dark coloured, four-door car.
Police are making enquiries in the area and are asking anyone who saw a car matching this description being driven in a suspicious manner or driven at speed to report it immediately.
Morrisons, which was closed at the time of the robbery, is now open.
