Close contests and drama at the Village Quiz
The first round matches of this year's Village Quiz produced some thrilling contests, headed by a 48-all draw between South Wolds Staff and the Twinning Association. Twinning scraped through on the tie-break questions. One-point wins were secured by Keyworth Utd FC, who beat Rotary 43-42, first-timers Abitech, who pipped the Baptist Church 40-39, and the Methodists, 51-50 victors against Friends of Keyworth Primary School. Friends of Kadzinuni went though to the second round as highest-scoring losers thanks to the 53 points they scored in going down to the Four Feathers. There were surprise exits from the quiz by six-times winners Rugby Club, who succumbed to the Parish Church, and last year's runners-up Willow Brook Parents, who lost to the Liberal Democrats.

Walk for Health in Keyworth
Walk for Health is a programme of walks that take place in West Bridgford, Ruddington and Cotgrave. The walks are short (30- 90 minutes), in a group and at a pace set by the walkers themselves. Volunteer walk leaders are present at the walk, one at the front and one at the back, meaning the walks should suit all abilities. From 2 successful events held by Keyworth Patient Participation Group, new walks will soon be available around Keyworth. Volunteer walk leaders are needed and training will be taking place on 13th March 2008 at Keyworth Primary Care Centre 10.30am- 3.30pm. If you would like to know more about the walks or training or would like to book please contact Rachael Terry 0115 9560330 Rachael.terry@nottspct.nhs.uk
