SCOUT AND GUIDE CHRISTMAS POST   - RAISING MONEY FOR THE NEW MAGGIE’S CENTRE AT THE CITY HOSPITAL. As usual, cards will   be delivered to addresses in Keyworth and Stanton on the Wolds during the first half of December.   There will be post boxes and stamps sold at Village Hair and other local shops to be confirmed.   Please support Scouting and Guiding in Keyworth as they raise money for this charity which supports all those affected by cancer.

  Sponsorship For Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre  Local father and son, Stuart and James would like to thank everyone who helped and supported them with their sponsored events this year in aid of the Maggie's Cancer Care Centre, based at the Nottingham City Hospital. In July James (age 10) completed his sponsored swim of 2500 meters at the Keyworth Swimming Pool and in September, Stuart  finished the Helvellyn Triathlon in just under 6 hours. The young people's centre is currently open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings 6.45-9.15pm.  Sessions cost 40p and the first session is free.  There is a varied programme of positive activities for young people to engage with.  **Coming Soon Monday years 6-8 6-8.30pm, Tuesday years 7-9 6.30-9pm, Sunday ages 10-19 3-6pm**

Christmas Tree Festival 2011 St. Mary Magdalene Parish Church, Newark Saturday 3 Dec. – Sunday 11 Dec.   Entry: £2 per adult; 20p per child. Over 90 trees and stalls selling a wide variety of Christmas gifts and cards, children’s toys and clothes, jewellery and many other items.   Also home-made refreshments and seasonal music, including live choral singing.   KEYWORTH DRAMATIC SOCIETY     ‘Allo ‘Allo 

We will be presenting our play this month at Grange Hall, Radcliffe-on-Trent on Thursday 24th, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November 2011 at 7.30pm. Tickets have already sold very quickly, but you may still be lucky, so try now at Storeys in Keyworth, the Keyworth Library and National Dry Cleaners in   Radcliffe, or from 0115 9374333 or 07949 496823.   Tickets are £7.00 with concessions of £6.50 each evening, which includes free tea, coffee and biscuits during the interval, when the licensed bar will also be available.  Return tickets for the bus, which will leave the Square in Keyworth for the theatre at 6.45pm on Thursday 24th November, cost £1.50 each and can be obtained by phone from the above numbers.   To complete your enjoyment you may also have 10% off the cost of a booked pre-theatre meal at the Piano Restaurant in Radcliffe, which is very near the theatre, on   production of your theatre tickets.We look forward to welcoming you at what promises to be an hilarious evening.   AU REVOIR!
