The Environment Group of the Keyworth Village Plan is in the process of buying some land off Wolds Lane to the south of Keyworth for development as a Pocket Country Park

The great news is that we are reasonably confident of getting grants to enable us to proceed with the purchase.

We need to establish a group that will administer the funds and manage the park in the long term. The Inaugural Meeting of the group is to be held in the Village Hall on 29th November at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome - indeed we want as many people as possible to attend. At the Village Show in July 2010, when we announced our plans and guaged the response, hundreds of people were supportive.

There will be a presentation of what the land is, where it is and where the group is at now in terms of acquiring the land. Then the business of the evening will be to agree the constitution (a draft copy is on this website) and elect a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee that will care for the site.

If you feel this is something you would like to be involved in or you'd like to know more, please put your name forward. Email or phone Neil Pinder on neil.pinder@ntlworld.com / 0115 9144896.
